Early Mathematics (K-2)

Course Description:

Welcome to Early Mathematics at Gracious Me Academy, an engaging course designed for students in grades K-2. Our math program focuses on building a strong foundation in mathematical concepts through hands-on activities and interactive learning experiences.

In our Early Mathematics course, students will:

• Explore Basic Number Concepts: Learn to recognize, count, and compare numbers, and understand concepts such as addition, subtraction, and number patterns through fun and interactive activities.
• Develop Math Skills Through Manipulatives: Use physical objects and visual aids to grasp fundamental concepts like shapes, sizes, and measurements, enhancing their ability to solve problems and think critically.
• Understand Patterns and Relationships: Identify and create patterns, sequences, and relationships between numbers, helping to build a solid base for more complex mathematical ideas.
• Apply Math in Real-Life Situations: Engage in activities that relate math to everyday situations, such as sorting, classifying, and solving simple word problems to see the relevance of math in their world.
• Foster a Positive Attitude Towards Math: Participate in games and collaborative activities that make learning math enjoyable and encourage a lifelong love of the subject.

By the end of the course, students at Gracious Me Academy will have developed a strong grasp of early math concepts, built confidence in their problem-solving abilities, and gained enthusiasm for exploring the world of numbers.
