Early Music (K-2)

Course Description:

Welcome to Early Music at Gracious Me Academy, a joyful and engaging course designed for students in grades K-2. This program introduces young learners to the fundamentals of music through interactive activities that foster creativity, rhythm, and a love for music.

In our Early Music course, students will:

• Explore Basic Musical Concepts: Learn about rhythm, pitch, and melody through fun activities like clapping patterns, singing simple tunes, and using percussion instruments.
• Develop Listening Skills: Enhance their ability to listen and respond to different types of music, including recognizing different sounds, patterns, and instruments.
• Engage in Singing and Movement: Participate in singing familiar songs and rhymes, and use movement and dance to express musical ideas and rhythms.
• Discover Musical Instruments: Explore a variety of simple musical instruments, learning how they produce sound and how to play them in a group setting.
• Foster Creativity and Expression: Create their own musical patterns and compositions, and use music as a medium for creative expression and storytelling.

By the end of the course, students at Gracious Me Academy will have developed a foundational understanding of music, improved their listening and performance skills, and cultivated a lasting enthusiasm for musical exploration. Our goal is to provide a supportive and vibrant environment where every child feels inspired to enjoy and participate in the world of music.
