Science (Grades 3-6)

Course Description:

Welcome to Science for Grades 3-6 at Gracious Me Academy, where students delve into the wonders of the natural world with an engaging and inquiry-driven curriculum. This course is designed to expand on foundational scientific knowledge and develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills through hands-on investigations and interactive learning.

In our Science course, students will:

• Explore Earth and Space Sciences: Investigate topics such as ecosystems, weather patterns, and the solar system, and understand the Earth's processes, including rock formation, erosion, and natural resources.
• Understand Life Sciences: Study plant and animal life, including their structures, functions, and life cycles, and explore concepts related to genetics, adaptation, and biodiversity.
• Examine Physical Sciences: Learn about matter, energy, forces, and motion through experiments that illustrate basic principles of physics and chemistry.
• Engage in Scientific Inquiry: Develop and test hypotheses through experiments, collect and analyze data, and draw conclusions, building skills in observation, experimentation, and scientific reasoning.
• Apply Scientific Concepts: Connect classroom learning to real-world scenarios, using scientific principles to solve problems and understand everyday phenomena.

By the end of the course, students at Gracious Me Academy will have deepened their understanding of scientific concepts, strengthened their inquiry and analytical skills, and developed a greater appreciation for the natural world.
