LEGO® Club (K-5)

Course Description:

Welcome to LEGO® Club at Gracious Me Academy, an engaging and creative program designed for students in grades K-5. This club offers a dynamic platform for exploring STEM concepts, critical thinking, and teamwork through the exciting medium of LEGO® building.

In LEGO® Club, students will:

• Participate in Architectural Challenges: Tackle building projects that focus on designing and constructing various structures using LEGO® bricks. These challenges will introduce students to basic engineering principles, spatial reasoning, and creative problem-solving.
• Enhance Problem-Solving Skills: Engage in activities that require strategic planning, critical thinking, and innovative solutions, fostering a deeper understanding of complex concepts through hands-on learning.
• Explore STEM Concepts: Discover principles of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through interactive LEGO® activities that promote inquiry and experimentation.
• Develop Collaboration and Communication: Work together on group projects to build larger structures or complete challenges, learning to share ideas, delegate tasks, and achieve collective goals.
• Foster Creativity and Imagination: Use LEGO® bricks to create original designs and imaginative projects, encouraging students to express their ideas and explore their artistic potential.

In addition to a full curriculum as described above, Gracious Me offers workshops and camps throughout the year providing a path to learn social graces, manners and etiquette.
